Pat Guyette, a.k.a MC 802, started rapping just over four years ago after accidentally beating Lil Wayne in a freestyle contest.

That never happened, but the real question is: Could it? 802 is a breath of fresh air to a rap game dominated by catchy dances, big chains and repetitive hooks. Starting out as a freshman at UVM, 802 released his first album, "Our Best Days" in 2006 to critical acclaim. He continues to write and produce new music, and will be releasing a new album some time in 2010. Working with Ice Storm Audio Founder / Producer Acav, and fellow VT artist C03, the project is destined to be a massive hit. 802 inspires a new generation of hip-hop fans to actually listen, and not just snap their fingers.
